Quad Tours Dubai
How old do you have to be to drive a quad?+
Sixteen to drive on a track, eighteen for open-dune rides and for all buggies. Younger children ride as passengers with an adult on a buggy.
Do I need a driving licence?+
No licence is needed for quads or buggies in the desert. You do need to follow the guide and the briefing.
Is it safe?+
Guided rides go in a line behind a lead rider who picks the route. Helmets and goggles are provided; buggies have seat belts and a roll cage. Serious accidents are rare and almost always come from ignoring the guide.
What should I wear?+
Closed shoes, long trousers and sunglasses. A scarf or buff for the sand. Sunscreen in the morning; a light jacket for winter sunset rides.
Can I combine a quad ride with an evening safari?+
Yes. Most evening safaris offer a 30 or 60-minute quad session at the camp, and we can add a guided ride before the camp for groups who want more.
What about pregnancy or back problems?+
Quads and buggies are not suitable for pregnant guests or anyone with back, neck or heart conditions. Passengers on a buggy get the same bumps as the driver.
